Katie's Art Project™ pairs musical artists with children facing life-threatening illnesses to collaborate on original compositions that are recorded and shared with the world to spread the desired message of each patient and share their legacy with the world.

With the permission of each patient's family we also capture the meetings and recording sessions on camera to create a unique music video to help in making sure their legacy is spread far and wide.

THE HISTORY

Music is Medicine™ was born in the summer of 2008 when sisters Leora and Ariela Friedman recorded an album of original songs for a group of hospitalized kids in Baltimore.

In 2017, Katie's Art Project™ partnered with Music is Medicine™ to provide programming to children in New York and beyond. Since the birth of this partnership, Katie's Art Projec™t has brought Music is Medicine programming to New York and Chicago.

In August 2018, Music is Medicine™ became an official program of Katie's Art Project™ with ties to musicians and hospitals across the United States.
